These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things...

Jennifer was so impressed by the crafters at last year's Tea that she couldn't wait to get involved in the selection and planning of the Holiday Bazaar portion of this year's Christmas Tea. Read an excerpt from a letter she wrote to her sister telling her all about it below.

Well, as you know, last year was the first time I attended the ladies Christmas Tea at NECC. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I do know this much…I was so impressed by a night filled with fellowship and entertainment. But my favorite part was the arts and craft show! I loved it so much that I came back the second night to do some more Christmas shopping! I just thought it was going to be an ordinary bazaar, but my expectations were definitely exceeded. This town is known for it’s art shows, and this ranks up with the many that I’ve been too! There were wonderful personalized gifts where the crafter embroidered right on the spot. In fact, she will be here again this year! I purchased Heather Staley’s embroidered ribbon key chains for small holiday gifts. I remember all of the Christmas themed gifts, lots of pretty jewelry, and fabric items like purses and quilted books. In all honesty, I felt like I was in a winter wonderland full of stuffed snowmen and grapevine angels… it was really magical!

This year, I must say, is only going to be better! We are excited to see familiar faces as well as new artisans. Returning from last year is “Unique Creations by Sandra” featuring gorgeous Christmas floral wall hangings, home décor, and grapevine crosses. Melissa Tichy, “Just Your Type,” will be back with her clever typewriter jewelry, which is unique and expressive.

New this year, I’m excited about Missy Leather’s clay bead jewelry in lots of designs and colors! The multi-talented Peg Henderson will be here featuring her hand-felted and knit baby booties and scarves as well as homemade soaps from Cedarbrook Farm. There will be so much more including quilted items, wooden gifts, personalized paper gifts, fabric handbags, and much, much more! You won’t want to miss out on this shopping evening under one roof! Forget the mall…just come to the Christmas Tea! See you there!
